Whether it will be through the fluttering of the butterflies in the stomach or the tears of a broken heart, we all have those moments when we ponder over the meaning of love.
There is a power in love, but now more than ever, I am realizing it is an individualized system. A system that is according to your rules, your past traumas, and your dramas. If you had asked me twenty years ago what love is. I would give you the generic definition of loving another person very much. I am learning love requires four ingredients of faith, gratitude, forgiveness, and grace. In order to fully love others, we must love ourselves. We must have a divine connection to our wants, needs, and desires. Love is a splendid thing, and one of my biggest mistakes was requiring others to know how to love me when I didn’t have a clue what I wanted.
This love that I am reflecting on reconnected to the woman I need to be. I am approaching the 50th year of my life in 2024. It didn’t help that I looked at one of my favorite movies: eat, love, and Pray. As I watched, I realized that we all are constantly in the discovery of ourselves.
