Will You Answer It?
The search for purpose and meaning is a common struggle that we all encounter. While some may believe that purpose is a human creation, I am convinced that it is a divine calling tailored to one’s life. Have you ever felt an insistent urge to accomplish something extraordinary? Have you ever found yourself working, but feeling like there was more to life than just your job? Home at last, you sink into your chair and begin typing, feeling a sense of accomplishment with each stroke of the keys. That is purpose calling you? It is a gnawing desire you can’t escape. The calling on your life is destiny driven.
Answering the call can be challenging, especially if it leads you away from your goals. We often cannot fulfill our purpose because we avoid discomfort. The agony of doing what is in alignment with God’s will feels like a punch in the gut until we accept the calling. Our individual aspirations do not coincide with what God wants for our life. It can cause a bunch of mixed emotions because it isn’t what you really desire to do. Perhaps modeling has always been a dream of yours, but your true calling is in the world of fashion design. Or you want to be a writer, but your predestined purpose is to be a graphic designer. Redirection is usually when we find what fuels our soul.
