When A Lion Cries!

Do we listen for the cries of the Kings of the Jungle?

Or do we only hear his fiery roars that echo through the air?

In the still of the night even lion’s get tired and weary

He lives by the code to protect his kingdom at all costs.

Yet, when he sits alone and looks to the sky, he mourns the losses with gentle whimpers of grief.

The middle of the day he roams, hunts, chase and prey on those who are his enemy seeking to conquer and slay. Even when he is wounded, he serves and protects. Yet, when he finds a moment alone and no one is near his fears and worries arise keeping him from slumber. His external and internal excruciating aches arises. He cries seeking his own relief. To cleanse him of hurts and sorrows we do not know. The peace he chases, the times of being lonely, and feeling weak. The king of the jungle roses with confidence and held high roaming the land to protect and serve wiping his tears away. Hiding behind the mask of bravery.
